Oracle Applications Lead

As the OIC support specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting OIC integrations within Oracle Cloud, using tools like REST/SOAP APIs, and FBDI, while ensuring seamless data flow and business process automation. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, integration development, provide training, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth operations.

  • Lead and participate in the planning and execution of major enhancements and upgrades of Oracle Integration Cloud.
  • This role requires hands-on technical expertise on OIC.
  • Design and develop integrations in OIC, using REST and SOAP calls, and FBDI file uploads.
  • Develop integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud, including orchestrations, connections, adapters, and transformations.
  • Support the implementation of Integration Solutions on Oracle Cloud by collaborating with clients' business teams to capture requirements and provide tailored support.
  • Define integration patterns, message formats, and data mappings based on requirements gathered from stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance to integration developers and other team members involved in integration projects.
  • Identify potential risks and problem areas within the integration process and develop effective procedures and workarounds to mitigate challenges.
  • Ensure seamless upgrades with minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Troubleshoot integration issues, provide root cause analysis, and coordinate with Oracle Support as needed.
  • Manage changes to integration configurations and deployments in accordance with change management processes.
  • Work with the technical team to resolve technical issues on existing integrations and custom developments.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into Oracle Integration Cloud solutions.
  • Experience supporting tickets on the Service Now portal.
  • Conduct technical testing, including system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting to ensure system stability and performance.
  • Lead data conversion activities, including data mapping, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Train and mentor other Oracle resources, guiding them based on project requirements and best practices.
  • Follow Document standard for business processes, configurations, enhancements, and functional specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with Oracle standards and company policies.
  • 10+ Years of experience in designing, developing and monitoring integrations on Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
  • At least 3 end to end OIC integration implementation with Oracle Fusion cloud as one of the boundary systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of VBCS (Visual Builder Cloud Service) and Process Cloud Service (PCS).
  • Extensive experience designing, developing, and supporting applications across multiple cloud platforms.
  • In-depth understanding of Oracle Fusion Middleware products.
  • Strong understanding on Oracle Fusion Integration capabilities (APIs, Events, Files, FTP, inbound/outbound) and should have delivered a large implementation project.
  • Good understanding of SOAP/REST Webservices, XML, WSDL and XSD, XSLT transformations, Implementing API Security, Interface Error handling, Integration Deployment.
  • Exposure in using HCM Data extracts in Oracle Integration Cloud to export data from Oracle HCM Cloud.
  • Strong background in Oracle Database, Oracle SQL and Python Scripting.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), capable of handling executive escalations and presenting solutions effectively.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Strong understanding of open-source technologies and cloud services.
  • Experience with the OCI Admin Console, including role assignment, user creation, and integrated application maintenance.
  • Exposure on OAuth2.0 implementation within OIC using OCI.
  • Self-starter with a passion for staying at the forefront of technological advancements.
  • Adept at handling technical issues, developing action plans, and leading solutions.
