Short Job Description:

The Senior Lead Data Architect offers technical expertise and contributes towards the strategic direction by leveraging data across the organization to create meaningful data products and derive insights. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with business and technology teams to identify and map the technology and strategy roadmap for unlocking value from enterprise data assets. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in large-scale modern data warehouse and LakeHouse development, including Cloud, data products, data fabric, and data mesh architectures. Leading cross-team technical discussions and making critical decisions to build competitive advantage is highly desired. As a Senior Lead Data Architect, you will collaborate with Enterprise, Cloud, Application, and Digital Architects and development teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Role & responsibilities

  • Architect and design data solutions that integrate enterprise, marketing, and streaming data, enabling advanced analytics, real-time insights, and personalized customer experiences.
  • Design and implement a scalable data lake house using Snowflake Cloud, which will enable efficient data storage, processing, and analytics across structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, data scientists, data engineers, and IT teams, to define data requirements, identify opportunities, and deliver high-quality data solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership for Data, Analytics and AI development engineers.
  • Participate in the definition of future data management architecture, with alignment to value creation opportunities across the business.
  • Performing proof of concepts, object-oriented analysis/design, assessing new technologies, identifying data lineage, and performing complex data analysis and analytics
  • Communicate the companywide Architecture strategy and direction to both management and development teams.
  • Stay current with new and emerging technologies and make recommendations on their adoption.
  • Understand compliance and risk management requirements for supported areas.
  • Design and implement data governance policies and procedures.
  • Develop strategies for business intelligence, analytics, and enterprise reporting.
  • Set design patterns for application integration, data governance, and analytics development.
  • Provide enhancement and optimization with ETL/ELT process development and maintenance.
  • Experienced with machine learning and deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch can be useful for implementing AI/ML models on top of the data architecture.
  • Experience with workflow management systems like Apache Airflow, Orkes and AWS Step Functions can be useful for orchestrating complex data workflows and pipelines.
  • Develop and implement data migration strategies.
  • Develop and maintain data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and data lineage documentation.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in data architecture.
  • Proficiency in data formats such as JSON, HL7, EDI, and XML
  • Proficiency in event-driven architecture and message queuing systems like NATS,Apache Kafka, Kinesis,IBM IIB and AWS SQS can be valuable for building scalable and resilient data architectures.
  • Experience with API development and integration using tools such as MuleSoft and REST APIs
  • Experience with data governance frameworks and policies is a plus, as it is crucial to ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across the enterprise.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
